Welcome to Stancefighter!
I’m really glad you stopped by, even reading this very first post. I hope you find the cars and content on here as dope as I do. I don’t claim to be any leading authority on what’s right in a car, or what looks best. I’m just here to cover car-related things that matter to me. Here, I’ll be chronicling the local Chicagoland car scene, cars and builds I find interesting, my own cars and builds, and more.
Above is my pride and joy at the time of writing (7/29/18) this post.
For some background on myself, my name’s Kai, I’m 26, work an office job, and am a big fan of cats (and cars). My first car was a 2015 Honda Accord Sport. I didn’t get my license until I was 23. Growing up in New York, especially with friends who had cars, I just never really found the need to drive until I went out on my own in Chicago. Although I’ve been interested in cars my whole life, I never got a chance to formally enter the scene until early 2017 when I picked up a 2017 Toyota 86. I wanted to make sure I was in a good spot in my life before dedicating so much time and resources to a an expensive hobby. I think not entering the car scene until I was an adult allows me a fresh perspective on things. Because I’ve never had people close to me influence my tastes or decisions, I feel that my views are genuinely my own, and not those of people I was friends with, or looked up to.
